“Where we get food?” Aish, that’s a hard one… How could she say we barely ever find food, so we almost starve to death in most of our days without scarying Hyoyeon? “I know a great orchard around here… That’s where I get most of my food. Want me to take you there?” She smiled a little bit and got up of the couch, walking out of the cabin and heading to the clearing through the known paths. “Follow me!” She shouted to the girl behind her.
"Follow me!" Gina shouted and began guiding HyoYeon to said orchard. She followed Gina even thought they met just for a few minutes and she was on a weird place and Gina could be guiding her to a trap and kill her or do something like that - and at that thought HyoYeon thought she should stop overthinking everything. They got in the orchard after a few minutes walking. It was a beautiful place if compared with the rest of Wonderland HyoYeon had known until now. It had a very welcome clarity - that wasn’t much, but was good and warm - and the trees didn’t seem dangerous at all. They were tall and healthy and the fruits were good by what she could see - they were too tall in the trees for her to see clearly. "So, now we climb?" HyoYeon asked still dazed by the orchard. She lived in the town all her life (or at least what she remembers) and had never seen such an amount of pretty trees like those. She got excited for the idea of climbing. How would be the scenery from the top of the trees? She waited for an answer from Gina while said rested from the walk leaning on a small tree that looked quite dislocated there.
HyoYeon woke up with some kind of noise. After she rubbed her eyes,…
Gina listened to the girl’s story, and felt sorry for her. Their lives had a lot of similarities, including those sick jobs they had to take to survive. She felt comfortable, since the girl pretty much knew how she felt. When she said that she was happy due to their meeting, Gina warmly smiled, replying in a sincere voice. “I’m very happy I met you too. The last human I saw… It’s so long since it happened, I lost myself in time.” She sighed, but her sudden sadness got interrupted by another question. “By the way, do you know where we are, Gina-sshi?” Damn, that’s a tricky question. Gina knew, for sure, but feared that the girl would be terrified if she told her all the horrible stories she heard from other humans — and, of course, some magical creatures (the nice ones) she’d talk to on her spare time. “Well… We’re in Wonderland. It’s a very weird place, to be honest. I haven’t learned anything about it yet, so I guess I can’t be a big help. Just watch out for the dark forests and you’ll be okay. I heard bad people live there…” That, in fact, was true. Gina had never been to the dark forests and was sincerely afraid to. She was never a fearless person even when it came to feelings — imagine if she were to enter a place she knew there were bad creatures that would probably try to kill her. She wasn’t much of a warrior and never knew someone that was — that way, the dark forests were still a mystery to her.
"Wonderland… ? Sounds good to me." HyoYeon replied. She liked the name of the place, it would remind her of good memories from stories she doesn’t remember of hear, but knew somehow. Even thought, she got a little afraid. If that girl that looked so strong - because, despite the shyness, Gina looked pretty much strong - was afraid of the Forest, and it was visible on Gina’s eyes, then HyoYeon thought it should be really a scaring place. Putting aside the fear, she was hungry. She couldn’t find food on the days she passed there, so she was starving since a reasonable time. "Gina-sshi? Hmm… How do we get food here? I don’t eat since a few days" HyoYeon was embarassed of saying that. How could an adult be unable to find food? Or she was too distracted or she was too idiot. The other girls seemed to think a little before answering.
HyoYeon woke up with some kind of noise. After she rubbed her eyes, Hyo smiled.”If there’s noise, someone must be here”, she thought, while standing up and looking around. She was there since one…
To Gina’s relief, the girl seemed to be as friendly as she was, and that calmed her down instantly. Hyoyeon — as she said she was called — said her name quietly, and Gina completely understood her state of mind. It was already dangerous talking to strangers in the — you might call it that — “real world”, imagine in a place like Wonderland? She smiled the most she could for the girl to see she was definitely not a danger for her, and she seemed to get that.
She thought a bit when the girl asked that question. It was kind of a standard one — of course you’d ask someone that. As the talkative person that Gina is, she told the girl all about her nomad journey of the last few months, getting a little embarrassed for talking so much because damn, did the girl look bored. She added a sweet, “I’m Gina, by the way. Nice to meet you, Hyoyeon.” in the end of her sentence, and walked a little bit to shake her hand. Both of them held their hands and shook them tightly, as a sign of peace. “So, how did you get here?” Gina said, as she sat down on the couch and waited for the answer quietly.
She could’ve been bored while the girl told her story, but she wasn’t really awake at that moment to not look like that. She listened, of course, and liked the girl. Her past was cruel, but, well, all she could do was care for the girl in the present. HyoYeon liked the sound of Gina’s voice - it was sweet and caring - and she could find a lot of things in common with her - not just the shyness. “So, how did you get here?” Gina asked and she tried to put her story in words, making it the simplest possible. “I ran away from where I lived and made the street my ‘house’. Just like you, I found a bad job. But I had just to be a dancer at some kind of strip club. Then I got tired of the way people would treat me there and ran away even from this. Then I followed a fluffy bunny to a dark hole and entered it and fell here. I’m happy to meet you because you’re the first creature I find since I got here.” She was quick. Her story was nothing much, so it’s not like she really had something to talk about. The girl looked like she was listening carefully to it, propably finding things on HyoYeon’s story that were on her past too. “By the way, do you know where are we, Gina-sshi?”
HyoYeon woke up with some kind of noise. After she rubbed her eyes, Hyo smiled.”If there’s noise, someone must be here”, she thought, while standing up and looking around. She was there since one or two days (at least she thought so. It was hard to use a measure while there). She had no clue at…
Gina was walking through the forests, looking for some place to sleep, when she found a greenish cabin — she hadn’t been in that one, for sure. She opened the door slowly and entered the room, closing it behind her silently and taking a look around. There was a kitchen, stairs, a coffee table, a couch… She jumped back when she saw there was a woman sleeping in it, taken by surprise. So, this is what a stroke feels like. She recovered herself from the shock and walked up to the couch, walking carefully so her short heels wouldn’t make much noise. It was a blonde, 20-something girl — a very beautiful one. What is she doing here? I never saw her around, or at least saw any indications someone else might be in this area… Gina was deep in thoughts and watched the woman sleep almost like she was a kind of creepy stalker and she was a goddess — it was so long since she last saw another human person that she was amazed at the sensation of having another person there, in the same room. She got up and intended to go to the kitchen and hang out there until the Sleeping Beauty woke up, but stumbled on her own feet — this was so like her — and her heels clacked noisily against the wooden floor, making the girl suddenly wake up, looking at everything with wide eyes. As Gina didn’t know if she would be friendly, she quickly ran to the stairs, hiding herself behind them. “Hello?”, said the girl. Damn, she knows someone’s here. Gina sighed deeply — there was no way out. “Hi”, she said shyly, almost whispering, as she slowly walked away from her hideout.
HyoYeon smiled shyly, her eyes shining at the sight of the other girl. Yes, the girl could be someone bad, but who said she cared? It was really good to see another person there and she stood up quickly to have the same eye-level with the other. The girl before her was a beautiful girl who seemed to have the same age as her and she immediately thought she had to be friendly. “I’m HyoYeon…” Her voice came out lower than she thought it would be, but the other girl seemed to understand. There was in the air an awkward silence and HyoYeon lowered her head a little, trying to not be rude or something that the girl could understand wrong. “So, how did you get here?” Hyo asked in a sudden. It was the first thing she could think of - and it could give her some answers, anyway.
HyoYeon woke up with some kind of noise. After she rubbed her eyes, Hyo smiled.”If there’s noise, someone must be here”, she thought, while standing up and looking around. She was there since one or two days (at least she thought so. It was hard to use a measure while there). She had no clue at where she was, how she got there and why the hell everything was happening, but she just missed people.
“Hello?” She asked to the nothing, picking her bag and looking around again, just in time to see a shadow moving by her side.
